Bill-tastic
2002, October 7 - 1:38 p.m.

The water/hydro bill came in and it was a monstrous, mind blowing bill. The people who lived here last still owe for 45 days of the bill while all of us here owe for 15 days. So now we have to get in touch with those people and make them pay up. We are all going to owe $25 here at the house. $25 for 15 days. That is insane. Next bill we figured it would 100 a piece if this keeps up.

Needless to say we had a small house meeting. We all agreed to cut down on the amount of power we use, meaning, no more lights on at all times in the house, no more leaving the juice running while in someone elses room. The guys were all guilty of these things.

And then... Big Fred said he didn't want to pay any of the phone bill at all because he had a cell phone. We all jumped on this. If Jeeters calls us about the house, or well call him on behalf of the house then Big Fred has indirectly used the phone. What made it more frustrating is that Cell Phone (who is in charge of the phone bill) only charged Big Fred with a share of the installation bill and so he was fighting us all on $12.50.

Yeah, $12.50 for having the phoneline all year. Nice, eh? Well, according to Fred he wanted to get his own phone line in on principle and pay whatever he needed to. Steph informed him it would be a couple of hundred. Yep. A couple of hundred on principle. We all fought back with him until he conceeded on the fact that he and I are in illegal rooms and we need the phone to be able to recieve a call from Jeeters to tell us if we are being evicted. It's not fair that if we are receiving calls as a house, that all of us are not paying tghe bill as a house.

It's so annoying when people don't feel they need to pay the bill for whatever reason. It rustles the whole system. If one person doesn't pay then the holder of the bill gets screwed and that's unfair.

Meanwhiile, Steph and I are looking at other places on the sly. We may have found one... Bwahahaha..! Yeah... Until it's settled, I have nothing to laugh at.
